Dates: Week of September 14th, 2026
(Marked by the spectacular close approach of the Moon and Venus)
"All that you take with you is that which you’ve already given away."
"Resonance happens when one heart speaks and another heart answers at the same frequency."
Polzeath Resonance is a proposal to unite the village’s extraordinary history with its modern creative power with a combined walking, creative arts, and music festival. We have specifically chosen the week of September 14th to ground our launch in a moment of cosmic resonance. As our festival opens, the Earth, Moon, and Venus align in a rare close cosmic embrace over our coast.
To capture this connection between the heavens and our shoreline, local astrophotographer Mark Yeoman—famous for his stunning imagery of the Milky Way turning directly into our local seas—will headline our launch. Mark will be running a special evening of his local night-sky photography, showing exclusively before the main cinematic features at the Wadebridge Cinema. It is a perfect visual reminder of how our local landscape bridges the terrestrial and the celestial.
Building on that cinematic spirit, we are fully incorporating the Polzeath Free Film Festival directly into this week's events across three dedicated sessions! Thanks to the immense kindness of everyone who gave to our previous film event, we raised enough to buy a permanent screen and blackout setup for the Tubestation. Now, we are combining forces to bring you a seamless week of walks, music, art, and homegrown cinema.
Caroline Bailey & The Tubestation Team: Providing the spiritual and community heart along with much of the musical talent. If anyone knows how to make music, the talent just at the Tubestation does—and Caroline is a Music Teacher anyhow!
Could that be you? You or someone mentioned in the provisional schedule below. If you would like to play a part either as an artist, filmmaker, stall holder, guide, or something completely different, please let us know and just go for it.
After the success of our previous film screen fundraiser, we are proposing the purchase of a Long-Range 50-Headphone Silent Disco Kit (Approx. £2000).
The Goal: To allow the Tubestation to beam live festival performances, cinema audio, and music directly to anyone on the beach without disturbing the peace.
The Gift: Once the festival ends, this equipment is donated to the Tubestation as a permanent asset for future film nights, youth work, and community events.
