Our combined Polzeath Festivals in March 2026 are a celebration of art, walking and community. The events focus on local walks, large-scale beach art and various art and nature-themed walks between the tides, films and talks.
Festival Highlights
Sacred Geometry & Beach Crop Circles: Join "croppies" for a pre-dawn challenge to create a massive "Beach Crop Circle" exploring principles of Sacred Geometry.
Jung by the Sea: Explore the connection between Carl Jung, local history, and the human psyche through a "Jungian Beach Art" session.
Cornish Traditions: Nurdling: Participate in the revival of Nurdling, an ancient North Cornish miners' pastime involving bowling roundish stones along the paths between Daymer Bay and Polzeath.
Sonic Landscapes: Learn to capture the atmospheric sounds of the coast with a professional sound designer on a guided walk.
Film Festival: The festival will feature not only the award-winning 12-minute documentary We Are All Artists, directed by Simon Ratigan, but a wide selection of other films from the London Mountain Film Festival (LMFF) 2026 including "The Lost Boys of Carbis Bay".
Community & Collaboration
The festival invites public participation with daily walks and sessions for creating Beach Art that includes walking labyrinths, and mandalas. It also emphasises community building through initiatives like "Buddy Up" cards to encourage new friendships.
Support the Festival
The 2026 festival is made possible through partnerships with local hospitality hubs, including the Atlantic Bar and Kitchen, The Tubestation, The Point, Surfside, and the St Moritz Hotel, which will host talks, walks, films, and socials. The festival is seeking sponsors to support its community mental health initiatives and educational workshops.
Whether you are a large organisation looking for headline naming rights, or a local accommodation provider or shop wishing to sponsor a single walk or "Beach Art Session", film, or talk, there is a place for you. Your support helps keep our workshops accessible, funds our educational program with local schools, and ensures the festival continues to bring people to Polzeath.
